“Responsive web design (RWD) is an approach to web design aimed at crafting sites to provide an optimal viewing experience” (Wikipedia)
This workshop will be a hands-on, practical workshop that takes the principles of RWD, mixes them with principles of visual design then gently folds it together with research on how the brain interprets images, to create a multi-medium design experience.
We will be using everything from paper and pencils, presentation slides, digital poster formats and website layout. We’ll learn how to tailor design to fit the medium being used.
We’ll also look at current design trends, such as Google’s Material Design and Flat Design.
We’ll even learn and practice some basic sketching skills to help us during our ideation activities.
We’ll learn how to use elements of visual literacy to create engaging and meaningful creations that best suit the medium being used.
